Miriam Robbins Midkiff

I speak and write about genealogy from Spokane, Washington, USA, as well as teach both beginning and intermediate courses in Online Genealogy through my local community college district. My regular career is working with special needs students at the junior high level in my local school district. I consider three locations my “home” and blog frequently about them: Alaska (where I was born and grew up); Michigan (where most of my genealogical research takes place); and Eastern Washington (my residence since 1979). My family includes my husband, two teens, and a playful tabby named Tessa.

  1. Do you have any further information on William Kimball and Amanda Westbrook? I am researching a very “broken branch” of my husband’s family. Seeking a Kimball (first name not known), born CT between 1790-1807, emigrated to OH, IL, and eventually lived in Michigan. Could certainly use some of your genealogy expertise as I am a new researcher. Last proven ancestor of this family is Samuel Henshaw Kimball, b. 14 June 1826, OH, d. 1895 Ellison, Warren Co IL.
